Lotrisone

Lotrisone is a fixed-dose combination medication that brings together two distinct pharmacologic agents: clotrimazole, an azole antifungal, and betamethasone dipropionate, a potent topical corticosteroid. It is formulated as a cream, lotion, and solution. While it is technically a pharmaceutical drug and not a dietary supplement or medical device in the traditional sense, its use in dermatology is so widespread that understanding its evidence base is critical for any clinician dealing with superficial fungal infections complicated by significant inflammation.
