Aricept

I’ve been prescribing and managing patients on Aricept for nearly two decades now. I remember when it first hit the market back in the late 90s—we were all desperate for anything that actually did something for Alzheimer’s. Before that, it was basically just supportive care and hope. So when this little pill showed up, it felt like a genuine breakthrough. And in many ways, it was. But I’ve also learned the hard way that it’s not a miracle drug.
