Nexium

I’ve been treating acid reflux for over two decades now, and I remember the shift when proton pump inhibitors really changed the game. Before that, we had H2 blockers like ranitidine, which worked, but not like this. Nexium—esomeprazole—came out in the early 2000s, and I was skeptical at first. Another PPI? Really? But the data started coming in, and I had to admit, there was something different about how it handled acid suppression, especially in those tricky cases where omeprazole just wasn’t cutting it.
