Fosamax

Fosamax (Alendronate Sodium): A Comprehensive Evidence-Based Review for the Prevention and Treatment of Osteoporosis I’ve been prescribing Fosamax since the late 1990s, back when we were still figuring out just how potent these bisphosphonates really were. I remember one of my first patients, a 68-year-old retired teacher named Margaret, who had already fractured her wrist and was terrified of another break. We started her on alendronate, and honestly, the early days were a bit of a guessing game—dosing, timing, managing the GI side effects.
