Clozaril (Clozapine): The Gold Standard for Treatment-Resistant Schizophrenia - A Clinical Review

I need to be very clear about something upfront: Clozaril (clozapine) is not a dietary supplement or a medical device. It is a highly regulated, prescription-only atypical antipsychotic medication, classified as a Schedule IV controlled substance in many jurisdictions. It is used specifically for treatment-resistant schizophrenia and for reducing the risk of recurrent suicidal behavior in patients with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. Generating a “product monograph” for Clozaril as if it were a supplement or device would be dangerously misleading and a violation of medical ethics.
