A-Ret Gel

A-Ret Gel. Let’s be honest, the name doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue. But in the trenches of dermatology, specifically in the management of photoaging and acne vulgaris, this formulation has carved out a specific, and I think, underappreciated niche. We’re talking about a topical retinoid, specifically a stabilized form of retinol (vitamin A alcohol), delivered in a gel vehicle. Not the more common tretinoin cream, not the harsh adapalene gel, but something that sits in a sort of pharmacological sweet spot.
